Choosing the period

Today, this month, year to date… - a specific date, or a range from one date to another.

Steps

  1. At the top of any report choose the Period: today, yesterday, this month, last month, this quarter, year to date or last financial year.
  2. A specific date…: pick one day - the report shows that day only (compared with the day before).
  3. Date range (from → to)…: pick the first and last day - e.g. 1 to 15 September (compared with the same number of days just before, or the same dates last year).
  4. Click Show. The same choices are on the accounting pages (profit and loss, financial position, cash flows, branch P&L, VAT) and on the Dashboard (📅 Dates…).

Good to know

  • The year follows your financial year (Settings → Company).
  • A range typed backwards is turned round; a single day is a range from and to the same date.
  • Reports as at a date (receivables ageing, stock valuation, stock ageing, treasury) have their own date picker.
