Navigate sells software in this category, so we have an interest in the answer. We quote only prices stated on pages we opened on 31 October 2026, and we say what each price covers. We do not rank these products by price, because the plans are not like for like.

Selection criteria: what to count

• The pricing unit. Per user, per organisation, per order or per branch? A per-user price grows with your team, and an order limit grows with your sales.
• The currency. A US dollar price moves with the exchange rate. Your income may not.
• Add-ons. Payroll, multi-currency, extra locations and API access may sit on higher plans.
• Implementation. Who sets it up, and is this included? Odoo, for example, says implementation services are not in its plan price.
• Data migration and training. Budget real staff time as well as fees.
• Third-party charges. Payment fees, SMS and WhatsApp messages are charged by others.
• Hardware and hosting. Self-hosted software is free to license only. Servers, backups and skilled people are not free.

Alphabetical order. These plans differ in scope, so the numbers cannot be compared directly. Prices exclude tax unless the vendor says otherwise.

How Navigate charges

• Plans are priced per organisation per month, based on how the business works rather than a price per login.
• Each plan includes a set number of users, branches and stores. More of these is a monthly capacity fee instead of a forced upgrade.
• Plans are priced and invoiced in Kenya shillings. M-Pesa collects the invoice as it is. A card is charged in US dollars at the day's rate.
• Monthly, quarterly and yearly billing can be offered, and longer periods can carry a discount shown on the pricing page.
• Data migration, custom development, extensive training and bespoke integrations are quoted separately. Payment, SMS and messaging charges from third parties are not included.
• Modules vary by plan. Accounting, payroll, the REST API and others are not on every plan, so check before you compare prices.

Ways to keep the cost down, whichever you choose

• Start with the modules you will use in the first six months.
• Clean your item list and customer list before you migrate. Bad data is the most expensive part of many projects.
• Train two internal champions well, rather than everyone a little.
• Ask what happens to your price if you add one branch, one warehouse or five users.
• Check for yearly commitments, and read how you can leave.

When an ERP is not affordable yet

If you have one shop, one person doing the books and a short item list, an ERP may be more than you need. A free or low-cost accounting tool, or a disciplined spreadsheet with eTIMS handled through a KRA option, can serve you well for now. Move when mistakes, stock losses or lost time begin to cost more than the software would.

When not to choose Navigate

If you only need invoices and expenses, Zoho Books' free plan may meet your needs at no subscription cost while your revenue is under its limit. If you have strong technical staff and want to avoid a subscription entirely, ERPNext or Odoo Community may suit you, provided you budget for hosting and support. If you are paid in a currency that moves sharply against the Kenya shilling, compare the effect on your costs across currencies first.
